Join our dynamic team as an Operational Buyer, where you will be at the heart of our Ulverston and Aberdeen manufacturing facilities. You will ensure the timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods and services from a diverse range of suppliers while optimizing our complex supply chain. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to improve supplier performance and contribute to our master production schedule. Your proactive approach and keen attention to detail will enable you to tackle new challenges and drive continuous improvement in our procurement processes.
How You’ll Make An Impact
1. Coordinate delivery schedules effectively by liaising with internal departments.
2. Analyze demand and consumption patterns to optimize purchasing and ensure timely transactions.
3. Raise, issue, and expedite purchase orders within your responsibility area.
4. Ensure all goods and services meet expectations to support the master production schedule.
5. Conduct RFI/RFQ processes and negotiate improved terms to generate cost savings across your supplier portfolio.
6. Implement strategies that drive flawless supply chain operations and supplier performance improvements.
What You Bring
* Strong numerical and analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
* Negotiation and influencing skills to establish strong collaborations.
* Proven ability to identify opportunities for supplier performance improvement and deliver results.
* Previous procurement experience and familiarity with SAP systems.
* Self-motivated, results-focused, with excellent communication skills in English.
* A collaborative approach and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
