Key Responsibilities:
* Setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications
* Use basic maths to calculate dimensions, angles and tolerances for various projects
* Write or download folding programs for CNC press brakes
* Read and understand technical drawings and specifications
* Select the correct tooling for each job
* Quality control, Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, quality & adherence to standards
* Using hand tools and machinery safely
* Conduct routine inspections, cleaning and minor troubleshooting of the machinery
* Working closely with other team members in Fabrication and Production
* Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations
Experience
* Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator of in similar role within a manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with tooling process and techniques related to sheet metal fabrication
* Technical skills, ability to read blueprints, understand metal properties, and use various tooling including hand tools
* A solid understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing setting
* Attention to detail, critical for precision & quality
* Good work ethic, reliable, punctual, hardworking, and a good team player
