The service is responsible for the support and integration of refugees who arrive into Stockton-on-Tees under various government resettlement schemes.
In this role you will support the Integration and Support Team Leader and Service Lead by representing the Council by attending a range of both internal and external meetings (for example with the Government, Home Office, the North East and Stockton Strategic Migration Partnership (and sub groups) and local delivery partners (both statutory and VCSE), subsequently communicating key messages.
The role will also involve collating, monitoring and evaluating data to aid with the submission of statutory returns. Vitally, the post holder will ensure the service is fully up to date and working to relevant legislation and within good practice/guidance frameworks. You will also be identifying any gaps in service provision and supporting the implementation of key service development priorities to ensure the service is consistently developed.
