Workshop Team Leader – Forklifts
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (Plus Overtime)
Holt Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of a well-known forklift manufacturer, seeking a highly motivated Workshop Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of their engineering team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established manufacturer with a reputation for excellence in product quality, aftersales support, and employee development. You’ll be responsible for leading and coordinating a busy workshop team, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the engineering team in day-to-day operations.
Act as the first point of contact for engineers, resolving queries efficiently.
Maintain strong communication with the Service Controller to maximise productivity.
Monitor and manage team KPIs and make improvements where needed.
Oversee and liaise with third-party suppliers.
Support engineer appraisals, training plans, and performance development.
Provide technical assistance on breakdowns and service when required.
Promote a positive, motivated team culture.
Maintain all Health & Safety and compliance standards.Skills & Experience
Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical).
Proven team leadership or senior engineering experience, ideally within forklifts, plant, or automotive sectors.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Confident using SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
A proactive, approachable team player with a hands-on attitude.What’s on Offer
