Job title: Catering Assistant
Location: Bath, BA2
Working hours: Part time, 16 hours per week (including some weekends)
Hourly Rate/Salary: £12.85 per hour
Aramark UK is currently recruiting an experienced Catering Assistant in their Healthcare sector to join our team.
You will assist with the production of hot and cold food, deli grab & go items, and serve at the hot food counter during breakfast and lunchtime, providing excellent customer care and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are followed.
Our client is a Christian charity committed to meeting human needs without discrimination. The site offers services supporting addiction, mental health, homelessness, and individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
This role requires a candidate who is strong-willed, empathetic, socially aware, and comfortable working in a challenging environment that accepts people from all walks of life.

A day in the life of a Cook
* Preparing hot and cold food, serving breakfast, main meals, and desserts in a canteen environment within a homeless hostel.
* Serving on the hot counter, monitoring dish levels, and maintaining Food Safety standards.
* Placing orders, performing stock takes, managing deliveries, and deep cleaning.
* Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
You will be set up for success if you have:
* Relevant cookery/culinary qualification preferred; previous catering experience (minimum 2 years) considered.
* Food hygiene Level 2 desirable, obtainable via our online e-learning portal.
* DBS checks required before starting.
