Overview
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our dedicated team and help develop and coordinate our learning disabilities supported housing schemes and domiciliary services across Blackpool. The role is full-time and offers up to £14.01 per hour.
As a Team Leader, you will be at the forefront of our leadership team, ensuring the effective delivery and daily operational management of our services. You will lead a team of staff, providing supervision, coaching, performance management, and support to staff, volunteers, and students. You will ensure the provision of person-centred support that enables customers to maintain their independence, wellbeing, and opportunities for personal development.
Responsibilities
* Oversee deployment of staff to meet individual needs and preferences within available resources.
* Identify training needs (mandatory and service-specific) and maintain accurate records.
* Respond to referrals, undertake initial assessments, and ensure all service users have co-produced support plans and designated Key Workers.
* Establish clear goals and pathways toward greater independence; organise regular person-centred reviews.
* Collaborate with local multidisciplinary teams and community-based agencies to provide holistic, wrap-around support.
* Maintain high standards of environmental safety and quality; ensure a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
* Facilitate service user engagement, involvement, and peer support; implement robust quality monitoring and KPIs; plan necessary actions.
* Provide exceptional customer care; communicate proactively with stakeholders about risk management and the welfare of the people we support.
* Uphold a strong ethical duty of care and safeguarding commitment for vulnerable individuals.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience as a Team Leader or in a comparable leadership role within learning disabilities, supported housing, or domiciliary services.
* Ability to supervise, coach, and manage performance across staff, volunteers, and students.
* Commitment to person-centred support, safeguarding, and high-quality service delivery.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to work with local multi-disciplinary teams.
Salary, location, and benefits
* Up to £14.01 per hour.
* Location: Blackpool, Lancashire.
* Full-time position.
* Benefits include a probationary bonus, pension contributions, 33 days annual leave, and company-paid enhanced DBS.
