Project Support Officer
As Project Support Officer you will be working within a team dedicated to tackling issues affecting businesses and communities across Wales, while addressing our short term and long-term energy needs. Severn Wye is focused on helping communities and businesses reduce energy consumption and meet net-zero challenges. This role supports non-domestic retrofit programmes, non-domestic energy assessment and management services, and net zero consultancy. You will work closely with our Energy Services Team for Wales to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. The role involves administration, organisation, and exceptional customer support to enable operational delivery.

Location, Hours, Salary & Reporting
Job title: Project Support Officer
Working hours: Full time (37 hours per week) with flexible hours
Salary: £25,710 - £29,080 depending on experience
Reporting to: Project Manager
Location: Based in Wales or close to Gloucester; hybrid homeworking available
Responsibilities
* Supporting customers and ensuring the smooth operation of projects and the customers’ journey, including diary management and bookings.
* Taking responsibility for the energy audit process, liaising between clients and external/internal energy auditor resources.
* Preparation of invoices and claims.
* Marketing and events support.
* Maintaining accurate, organised records and reporting on project data as required.
* Assisting senior colleagues with meetings across sectors, including note-taking and energy plan discussions.
* Supporting the Project Manager(s) with quarterly reporting on targets and scheme delivery.
* Proactively developing and delivering the service while following organisational policies and procedures.
* Carrying out other duties as required; contributing to training and personal development in project management and lean processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with an excellent telephone manner.
* Excellent customer care skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
* Excellent IT skills including MS Office; experience with Teams or Customer Relationship Management systems is advantageous.
* Highly organised and efficient administration skills.
* Team player with a commitment to the success of the whole team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience in customer service or working with businesses or community organisations.
* Aware of current energy issues, fuel poverty, and an interest in energy efficiency.
* Flexible, dynamic, and creative approach.
* Experience in the voluntary or public sector or working with local or statutory authorities.
* Experience of project work and working with project/grant funding.
* Ability to multi-task, manage workload efficiently and meet targets on multiple projects.
* Welsh language skills (written and spoken) would be beneficial.
