Job Title: Science Technician

We are looking for a passionate Science Technician to provide technical support to teaching staff and ensure a safe and clean working environment to facilitate high-quality teaching within the faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers with preparation of resources and equipment for lesson delivery on a daily basis
* Assist in lessons as required during practical sessions
* Develop apparatus and equipment for use in practical sessions and provide technical advice and assistance to teaching staff as required regarding resources for practical work and demonstrations
* Carry out practical demonstrations in the classroom as required
* Construct and modify apparatus as required, at the request of teachers in the faculty
Pay range: SCP 12 - 17 £10,197.05 - £11,061.37 (FTE:£28,598.00 - £31,022.00), 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
* 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (minimum grade 4 or equivalent)
* Relevant qualification in Science or related subject (ideally level 5 or above)
* Working knowledge of health and safety including COSHH
* Good knowledge of up-to-date techniques, materials, and equipment relevant to the National Curriculum
