Team Leader - Homeless Prevention Employment Specialist (HPES)
Join East Sussex County Council as a Team Leader leading a team of employment specialists who support residents experiencing or at risk of homelessness to secure and sustain meaningful employment as part of the Connect to Work programme.
Responsibilities
* Oversee a team of employment specialists supporting residents experiencing or at risk of homelessness to secure and sustain meaningful employment as part of the Connect to Work programme.
* Provide caseload management, ensuring the team are trained in all aspects of their role.
* Ensure the HPES service is delivered in line with the support employment principles outlined in the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) and Supported Employment Quality Frameworks (SEQF).
* Work closely with District and Borough Council housing teams, accommodation providers and community organisations to promote the programme and develop referral pathways.
Candidate Criteria
* Can plan and organise varied workloads, for themselves and others.
* Can supervise, motivate and support staff.
* Have experience of delivering customer focused services and engaging new participants onto programmes.
* Can communicate effectively with diverse audiences, influencing and supporting change through excellent negotiation skills.
* Can interpret and analyse complex data.
* Has working knowledge of employment and skills support particularly for vulnerable people.
