PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Building Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings, in line with safety regulations and standards. They oversee the management of safety systems, conduct risk assessments, and implement safety protocols, with a focus on fire safety and structural integrity.
Building Safety Managers collaborate with stakeholders, internally and externally to develop and execute safety plans, including necessary inspections and maintenance.
This role is crucial in safeguarding occupants and assets while adhering to the ever-evolving safety landscape.
This role will be looking after all our buildings across our 5 Campuses that include:
* Manchester
* Derby
* Newcastle Upon Tyne
* Sunderland
* Salford
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage and maintain safety systems and equipment
* Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards.
* Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
* Focus on fire safety and structural integrity.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Develop and oversee safety plans and emergency response protocols.
* Coordinate regular safety inspections and maintenance activities.
* Stay updated on evolving safety regulations and industry standards.
* Train and educate campus personnel on safety procedures.
