Uxbridge College offers excellent Engineering facilities, making this an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful team. The High Skills Technician for Electrical/Electronic Engineering supports our higher education delivery and the West London Institute of Technology, which offers a range of higher education programmes.
Responsibilities
* Work within the Electrical/Electronic Engineering area including the Power and Robotics Lab, PLCs and Mechatronics Lab, Electronics Lab and LN Experiments Lab.
* Provide assistance to lecturers in preparing equipment and resources for teaching and learning.
* Be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment to an efficient level and carry out risk assessments.
* Ensure all aspects of health and safety are complied with.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
* At least 2 years’ experience with electrical equipment, PLCs, robotics and mechatronics.
* Experience and ability to use various higher education software such as Multisim, Matlab, PLC, Verilog, LabVIEW, C Programming.
* Good understanding of health and safety requirements and the ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
