Senior Radiographer/Mammographer – Guildford Hospital
Bank Contract, Ad Hoc – Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience.
Qualifications
* Hold a BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
* Post‑graduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable).
* Demonstrate an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike.
* Respect all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors.
* Be proactive and forward‑thinking in work.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Deliver a high‑quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
* Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
* Work with leading practitioners and cutting‑edge equipment and facilities.
* Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
* Work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
* Participate in departmental audits and the Quality Assurance programme.
* Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
* Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
* Competency in intravenous cannulation and administration of contrast media is essential.
* Contribute to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
* Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
* Maintain records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
