Degree Apprentice Building Services Design Engineer
Do you want to shape the future of buildings and have an eye for detail? Then this apprenticeship could be ideal for you! As an Apprentice Building Services Design Engineer you will learn the principles of building services, you will help deliver projects, draw and scale plans, research, analyse and review building data, learn to write specifications, develop skills in the use of computer aided design (CAD), initially assist and then as your experience develops work towards leading on the delivery of projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team and be paid to receive on the job learning and support whilst undertaking an accredited educational course.
Your place of study will be Teesside University where you will undertake the Building Service Degree course (link below). On completion you will have the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become an Incorporated Engineer (IEng). The BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering (Degree Apprenticeship) degree awarded upon successful completion of this apprenticeship is accredited by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) as fully satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and partly meeting the academic requirements for CEng registration. https://www.tees.ac.uk/undergraduate_courses/engineering_&_construction/beng_(hons)_building_services_engineering_(degree_apprenticeship).cfm
What qualification will I gain? You will study towards the Building Services Engineer Level 6 standard with Teeside University. https://skillsengland.education.gov.uk/apprenticeships/st0372-v1-1
You must have GCSE English at grade 4 or above (or equivalent) and have or expect to achieve Level 3 qualifications meeting 96 UCAS points one of which must be Mathematics or an equivalent, also good communication and ICT skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
