Role Overview
The JD Foundation is the charitable foundation of JD Sports, supporting disadvantaged young people through strategic partnerships, grant giving and colleague engagement.
We are recruiting a Community & Culture Executive to help bring the JD Foundation’s purpose to life. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely cares about people, storytelling and community impact, and who thrives on engaging colleagues across retail, head office and distribution centres.
You will play a key role in capturing and communicating the impact of our work, building colleague engagement through fundraising and volunteering, and strengthening relationships across the business and with our charity partners.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Storytelling
* Embed and strengthen the JD Foundation brand across the JD Sports Fashion PLC in the UK.
* Capture engaging content and stories to share across LinkedIn, JD Now, Instagram and Facebook.
* Confidently feature in and support the creation of video content, including interviewing colleagues, young people and charity partners.
* Bring the mission and impact of the JD Foundation to life through authentic, compelling storytelling.
* Work with the JD Foundation Manager and the JD Sports Social Content & Branding Senior Executive to develop and maintain a forward-looking content planner.
* Build and maintain a calendar of fundraising initiatives for colleagues across the UK.
* Where possible, attend fundraising activities to support colleagues and capture content.
* Work with the JD Foundation Manager to set and track fundraising and colleague engagement KPIs.
* Coordinate volunteer recruitment across the organisation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely completion of administrative tasks.
* Work closely with Charity Partnership Executives to plan, promote and recruit volunteers for partner charity events.
* Proactively identify opportunities to collaborate with JD Sports teams on key moments such as International Women’s Day, Mental Health Awareness Week and Black History Month, bringing a community and charitable lens to activity.
* Build strong relationships with retail teams, colleagues and charity partners to strengthen the connection between the JD Foundation’s work, in-store customer donations, and colleague fundraising and nominations.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone with experience in, or a strong affinity for, one or more of the following:
* Charity, community, fundraising or partnership-based roles
* Marketing, engagement or content roles with a clear social purpose
* Retail or brand-led environments with a strong people focus
