Support Worker – Mental Health Care Home (Day & Sleep Shifts)
Location: Herefordshire
Pay Rate: £12.60 – £13.40 per hour
Shifts: 4 shifts per week + 1 sleep-in shift
Amber Mace is working with a well-established, family-run mental health care home in Herefordshire. We are seeking caring and reliable Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting adults with mental health needs in a warm, homely environment.
Previous care experience is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided to candidates with the right attitude and values.
Shift Pattern:
Morning Shift: 8:00am – 3:00pm
Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm – 9:30pm
Sleep-in Shift: 9:30pm – 8:30am (once per week)
What We’re Looking For:
A compassionate and professional approach to care
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Willingness to work as part of a supportive, close-knit team
Confidence in assisting residents with daily living and emotional wellbeing
An understanding of mental health and recovery-focused care (desirable)
Ability to work independently and follow care plans
Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential)
Training & Development:
You’ll receive paid training and ongoing professional development, including support to complete the Skills for Care – Care Certificate.
