We are a recruitment and employment agency and we are currently looking for trustworthy and reliable candidates for the position of Care Assistant. We cooperate with West Lothian Council Care Homes and private Care Homes located in West Lothian within the social care sector.
Your duties will include personal care for elderly people as helping and supervising residents' washing, dressing, grooming and toileting using proper Moving and Handling of People techniques and hoist equipment; preparing residents' meals and snacks and feeding or supervising eating and drinking. Transporting clients to medical appointments and helping them run errands. Monitoring residents' health conditions, reporting progress and any concerns to Care Home Management.
Other tasks to be completed by the correct time and other responsibilities required by each site.
We are seeking enthusiastic people, who are flexible and willing to undertake delegated tasks as a part of a team offering a high level of support to elderly people.
SVQ in Care (level 2 or 3) and the Manual and Handling of People Certificate are preferred but not essential. Previous experience and good communication skills are required.

Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act.2007.
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme and SSSC Registration. The successful candidates will be subject to a criminal records check provided by Disclosure Scotland.
You will get flexible hour rates (from £13.55 to £27.10 per hour) as well as flexible hours of work depending on your experience and circumstances.
