Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? Do you lead with care, patience, and understanding? We’re looking for an Educational Support Worker to join a special school in Trowbridge, helping pupils feel safe, supported, and able to reach their potential.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
* Assist with classroom activities and personalised learning plans
* Help students with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
* Provide personal care as a core part of the role (e.g., toileting and hygiene)
* Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Qualifications
* Experience with SEND, whether formal or informal support work or personal experience
* A calm, patient, and compassionate approach
* Confidence and willingness to provide personal care
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Resilience and a genuine desire to make a difference
