Assistant Accountant- Newry Reed Recruitment is working in partnership with a local and highly successful organisation based in the Newry Area. Our client has a new opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a busy finance team and ensure accounts duties are completed on time in line with company requirements. Working alongside the Finance Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for completing the following daily duties: Preparation of monthly management accounts Support financial accounting tasks and maintaining accurate transaction records Processing invoices and completing supplier payment runs Maintain accurate accounting records including journals, ledgers and bank reconciliations Provide day-to-day support for financial operations Assist with audit preparations Processing VAT returns Essential Experience in completing management accounts A minimum of 2- 3 years' experience working within a finance function Excellent attention to detail A positive can-do attitude towards work If you would like to be considered for this vacancy, then please apply via the link provided.
