Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Heathrow IRC, a Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton. Heathrow IRC is the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents.
Hours
* Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
Salary
* Hourly Bank Rate: £26.05 per hour
Responsibilities
* Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of patients' mental health needs.
* Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload of patients and assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
* Contribute to nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence‑based care, seeking, listening to and acting on patient feedback so care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care, build therapeutic relationships and promote professional boundaries.
* Actively participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care following policies and procedures, always considering safeguarding.
Qualifications
* Occupational Therapist or Social Worker – HCPC / NMC registered.
* Experience working within mental health settings, with knowledge and understanding of this patient group.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Experience collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary environment.
