Job Description
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Product Team Lead Senior Manager to support the Ground Segment on the Air Proprietary 1 Program. This role is located in Berkeley, MO.
The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing, cross-functional team building next-generation capabilities. They will report directly to the Air Proprietary 1 Chief Engineer and indirectly to the Program Manager, overseeing all activities related to design, development, fabrication, and delivery of the Ground Segment, including hardware and software development, integration, and production.
Responsibilities
1. Plan, organize, and ensure technical excellence of all Ground Segment work.
2. Define technical approaches with subject matter experts and ensure adherence to standards.
3. Coordinate resources across functions and teams to meet cost and schedule commitments.
4. Lead the development of Secure DevSecOps pipelines for ground systems.
5. Manage subcontractors and establish relationships with stakeholders.
6. Facilitate collaboration among government customers, pilots, and engineers.
7. Develop and communicate metrics, manage costs, risks, issues, and opportunities.
8. Guide and mentor teams, promote innovation, and develop product roadmaps.
9. Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and inclusion, emphasizing employee development and psychological safety.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
* 10+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in management.
* Willingness to travel domestically (~15%).
* Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
