Overview
We are looking for a motivated Land Surveyor to join an established earthworks and construction team operating across the Central Belt. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career beyond traditional surveying and move into modern surveying methods, including drone (UAV) surveying and digital construction workflows.
The role will suit a surveyor who is confident on site, keen to progress technically, and interested in working on a variety of civil engineering and earthworks projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out topographical and setting out surveys on civil engineering and earthworks projects
* Support site teams with accurate survey control and data collection
* Produce CAD drawings and survey deliverables for construction use
* Work closely with engineers and site managers to support project delivery
* Undertake as-built surveys and volume calculations for earthworks
* Assist with quality assurance and verification of works on site
* Support the introduction and use of UAV/drone surveying technology
* Data processing and reporting using industry-standard software
About You
* Experience in land surveying within construction, civils, or earthworks
* Competent using total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and standard survey workflows
* Comfortable working on active construction sites
* Strong understanding of survey data processing and CAD output
* Keen to develop skills in UAV/drone surveying and digital construction methods
* Self-motivated, practical, and able to work as part of a site-based team
* Full UK driving licence required
