Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary School in Weymouth. The role involves working in the school's resource base, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Learning Difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
* Educational Support: Assist in the educational and social development of students under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Curriculum Access: Support students in accessing the curriculum effectively.
* Individual and Group Support: Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to children with SEN.
* Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Planning and Evaluation: Participate in the planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher.
* Communication: Liaise with parents, teachers, and external professionals about student progress.
Requirements
* Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
* Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attributes: A patient, caring nature, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
