We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banking & Finance Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a solid background in banking and finance law to work alongside senior solicitors on a wide range of complex financial transactions and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
General matter support and Practice Evolve (our Practice Management System) filing to support the team with administrative tasks.
Companies House Registrations.
• Assisting with the preparation and drafting of legal documents such as loan agreements, security documents, and other transactional documents
Support lawyers on key projects and tasks.
Write first drafts, proofread and amend legal agreements, advice notes, letters and other documents.
Conducting legal research and due diligence to support various banking transactions, including loan agreements, corporate finance, and real estate finance.
Managing and organizing client files, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and accurately filed.
Assisting with the transactional closing process from the initial filing to closing.
Requirements
Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Paralegal within a banking and finance legal environment, ideally within a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team
Strong understanding of English banking and finance law, including LMA (Loan Market Association) standards
Demonstrable experience supporting complex bilateral and syndicated loan transactions
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Law degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred
LPC/SQE or equivalent is advantageous but not essential
