Job Overview
Required: ASAP
The role
Do you enjoy writing, have a keen eye for detail, and want to develop your skills in digital marketing? Emanuel School is seeking a Digital Marketing Assistant to join us on a temporary basis.
In this role, you will work closely with our Digital Content and Communications Officer to support a range of digital marketing projects, with a particular focus on updating and optimising our website content in preparation for the Autumn term.
Your work will include creating engaging, SEO-friendly copy by sourcing stories, images and information from across the school, ensuring our communications remain fresh, relevant and appealing to our audiences. You will also be involved in website management, keeping track of updates, using spreadsheets to monitor content changes, and ensuring our website remains up to date, optimised, and relevant.
This is a fixed-term role for the Autumn term only. Working hours will be agreed with your line manager.
About You
You will demonstrate an understanding of best practice in digital communication, covering both websites and social media, along with a grasp of basic SEO principles and website analytics. Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to tailor copy for different audiences is essential, as is confidence in using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, to capture data and track project progress. This role also requires excellent organisational and project management skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines.

Everyone works hard here, and anyone joining us should expect to do the same and share our commitment to the highest standards. At the same time our ethos remains unpretentious, kindly and practical, and there’s a strong sense of community and friendship at the school.
We aim to look after our staff well: we have an appraisal scheme with a focus on employees’ professional development; we sponsor postgraduate courses and a range of training opportunities; we offer salary sacrifice childcare vouchers through TEDS Premier, we offer a healthcare plan via Simply Health that includes counselling and medical support; and we’re committed to supporting staff wellbeing. Financially, all staff benefit from good pension provision and free lunches.
