Offer description

It’s been just over a week since our team proudly completed the Friday 8th August Charity Team Building Challenge – a sponsored charity hike up Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), the highest peak in Wales, to raise vital funds for the Way Ahead charity! This inspiring fundraising challenge was more than just a mountain climb; it was a powerful example of how team building challenges for work can also make a meaningful difference to communities in need.

The Hamptons team took on the famous Pyg and Miners tracks in a circuit loop as part of this walking challenge, turning what might otherwise be seen as a demanding trek into one of the most rewarding charity challenges we’ve ever undertaken. Together, we’ve already raised over £1,000 in donations – a fantastic milestone in such a short space of time.

Way Ahead is a Warwickshire-based charity with over 50 years of history, originally founded by carers who struggled to access adequate support for their disabled children. Today, the charity delivers life-changing services in supported living, day opportunities, and home-based care for adults aged 18-65 with autism, physical or learning disabilities, dementia, or mental health challenges. Taking part in this fundraising challenge event allowed us to raise awareness for their work and show our support in a practical way.

For our team, climbing Yr Wyddfa Snowdon was more than just a physical test; it was an ultimate teambuilding challenge. Every step of this trekking for charity adventure demanded focus, resilience, and group effort. It was the perfect opportunity to embrace a team building course outdoors – a kind of coastal walk challenge course in the mountains rather than by the sea – while proving that group team building challenges don’t just build workplace skills, they also change lives through fundraising challenges for charity.

Simon Ray, Chief Executive of Hamptons Resourcing, added:

“At Hamptons, social care isn’t just our job – it’s our purpose. Every day, we work alongside the remarkable individuals who lead, shape, and deliver care across the UK, and we see firsthand the impact they make in people’s lives. Whether it’s £5 or £50, every donation helps Way Ahead continue to deliver life-changing services. Every step we take is a step toward something better – and we’d love for you to be part of it.”

Our Snowdonia climb was a true reminder of how powerful teamwork challenges can be when tied to a cause that matters. From charity walks to large-scale fundraising events, these experiences test endurance, build trust, and create memories that last far longer than the climb itself.
