Our client, a successful firm of Chartered Accountants based in Sheffield, is seeking a capable and motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid practice experience who is looking to develop their skills further within a supportive and forward thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Preparing VAT returns for a varied client portfolio
•Handling day to day bookkeeping duties across multiple businesses
•Preparing year end accounts for small Limited Companies
•Using Xero regularly, with the opportunity to work with other cloud accounting systems
•Supporting senior team members and contributing to smooth workflow management
•Liaising with clients to ensure accurate, timely information and excellent service delivery
Skills & Experience
•Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
•Strong working knowledge of Xero (experience with other cloud software is beneficial)
•Confident in VAT preparation, bookkeeping and drafting Limited Company accounts
•A proactive, organised and detail driven approach
•Strong communication skills and a professional manner
•Studying AAT/ACCA or looking to begin studies (study support available)
Benefits
•Salary: £28,000 – £35,000, depending on experience
