Our Primary School is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Site Supervisor to join our friendly team. This is a key role in ensuring our school provides a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Job Advert – Primary School Site Supervisor
Location: Burnley
Contract Type: Full-time with split hours e.g. 7am – 9am and 4pm – 6pm
Salary: £13.75 - £14 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience as a Site Supervisor at a Primary School or Secondary School.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out daily opening and closing of the school site.
* Maintaining the security of the premises, including routine checks and responding to alarms.
* Conducting general maintenance, repairs, and decorating as required.
* Ensuring heating, lighting, and other facilities are operational.
* Monitoring health and safety across the school site and reporting any issues.
* Overseeing contractors and ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures.
* Carrying out cleaning duties and supporting the cleaning team when necessary.
* Maintaining outdoor areas, including playgrounds, pathways, and green spaces.
You will need
* Have previous experience in a similar caretaking, site management, or maintenance role (school experience desirable but not essential).
* Be practical, with good DIY/maintenance skills.
* Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
* Demonstrate a commitment to health and safety and safeguarding.
* Be flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the school.
* Take pride in maintaining high standards across the school site.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
