A prestigious boutique hotel in Lymington is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join its dynamic kitchen brigade. Lymington ⏰ Hours: 5/7 days | 40-45 hours per week Salary: Up to £38k + £4k yearly tips Live-in accommodation available
Your Role as Sous Chef:
* Lead kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation
* Maintain up-to-date menu knowledge, contributing ideas for seasonal offerings
* Ensure portion consistency, food safety, and adherence to health regulations
* Inspire and mentor junior chefs, fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-quality kitchen ✅ Recognised culinary qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds) ✅ Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required) ✅ Exceptional leadership and communication skills ✅ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
