We’re reinventing payments. In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.
Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year. We’re just getting started. Our people are the driving force behind our success.
The Role
As an Analytics Engineer within Customer Operations, you are the architect of the data that keeps Dojo moving. This isn't just about dashboards; it is about building the data models that define how we interact with our customers. You will partner with stakeholders across the core Call Centre, Logistics, Performance Management, and Loyalty teams to turn fragmented data into high-performance assets. Whether it is streamlining our supply chain, identifying at‑risk customers before they churn, or refining our collections logic, your mission is to provide the clarity needed to deliver a world‑class experience at every stage of the customer journey.
What you will do
* Shape the direction of the data organisation by adopting best‑in‑class data sources, services, and tools that support our operational infrastructure.
* Identify opportunities across Customer Operations to improve decision‑making – such as optimising stock levels or improving collections efficiency – and deliver scalable data solutions as Dojo scales into new markets across Europe.
* Develop an in‑depth understanding of the customer journey, acting as a trusted advisor to teams such as Logistics, Billing, Service and Loyalty to improve performance through data and technology.
* Support and shape operational KPIs, ensuring accurate and actionable data and reporting for our call centres and supply chain partners.
* Deliver hands‑on data products using tools such as BigQuery, dbt, and Looker to model complex operational workflows.
* Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Support, cross‑functional squads and external third‑party suppliers.
* Contribute to the Analytics Engineering Chapter through demos, knowledge sharing, and skill development to ensure our tools and systems scale alongside the organisation.
What you bring
* Strong academic background in computer science, information systems, engineering, or another quantitative field.
* Expert capability in SQL with experience handling and manipulating large, complex datasets – particularly transactional, billing, or logistical data.
* Proven experience in Analytics Engineering, using tools such as dbt to build robust, version‑controlled data models.
* Experience developing BI solutions, from initial requirements gathering with operational stakeholders through to final delivery.
* Skilled in using data visualisation tools to convey insights that drive operational efficiency and improve the customer experience.
* Excellent communicator, able to explain complex data logic to technical and non‑technical stakeholders across the business.
* Commercially minded, balancing technical debt with the need for high‑impact business solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
* High attention to detail and strong standards for data quality and observability.
* Able to thrive in an agile, fast‑growth environment and manage multiple priorities across different operational squads.
* Align with our values: Customer Obsessed, Curiosity, Relentless.
Nice to have
* Modern cloud data warehouse platforms such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
* dbt for transformation and GitHub for version control.
* Visualisation tools such as Looker, Omni, or Tableau.
* Operational data sets – specifically experience with billing systems, supply chain, logistics, and customer service platforms such as Salesforce.
* Ability to leverage Python to automate processes or develop custom logic (e.g., Python models in dbt or workflow integration).
Tech stack familiarity or experience
* BigQuery, dbt, Looker (and LookML), Salesforce, GCP, Fivetran and AirByte.
* Knowledge of data orchestration tools such as Airflow or observability frameworks such as Monte Carlo.
