A warm and inclusive early years setting in Ribbleton, Preston is seeking to appoint a committed and nurturing Early Years Educator to join their team from January 2026. This full-time, fixed-term position is for the remainder of the academic year and provides an excellent opportunity to support young children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a highly supportive environment.
About the Role:
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education, supporting the development of children aged 3-5 in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Working closely with room leaders and other practitioners, you will help create a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, communication, and personal growth.
This role is perfect for someone with proven experience in the early years sector who is confident in using observation and assessment to plan effectively for children's individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS
Deliver planned activities and contribute to child-led learning opportunities
Use observations and assessments to inform next steps and record progress
Promote children's physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
Encourage independence, curiosity and positive behaviour through play-based learning
Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues
Maintain a safe, clean and inclusive environment that meets safeguarding standards
Work collaboratively as part of a professional and reflective early years team
Essential Requirements:
Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, BTEC, Tlevel or equivalent)
Recent and relevant experience working within the early years sector
A secure understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
