Town Planner
Location: Chilton, Aylesbury

We are now recruiting for a Town Planner to join their close-knit and collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic Town Planner looking to broaden their experience across a wide variety of projects, working alongside both planning and design professionals. As a Town Planner, you will be involved in all stages of the planning process-from initial appraisals to application submissions and appeal work.
The successful Town Planner will gain valuable exposure to projects ranging from small-scale infill developments to larger residential and mixed-use schemes, while benefiting from strong mentorship and a clear path to chartership (if not already achieved).
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage planning applications, planning statements, and appeals
Conduct site assessments and planning policy research
Liaise with local planning authorities, clients, and consultants
Work closely with architects and senior planners on development proposals
Attend site visits, public consultations, and planning committees as required
Support junior colleagues and contribute to team development
Requirements:
RTPI-accredited degree and working towards chartership (or recently chartered)
Experience in either the private or public sector
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of UK planning regulations and local policy
Organised, self-motivated, and commercially aware
Full UK driving licence (or working towards one)
