The Role
As a Client-Side Building Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the strategic and operational management of the estate. You will be responsible for overseeing planned maintenance, refurbishment, compliance, and improvement projects across a broad range of property types. This is a varied and high-profile role with both autonomy and strong internal support, offering a mix of hands-on surveying and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver professional building surveying services across a diverse commercial estate
Manage planned and reactive maintenance projects, refurbishments, and asset improvement schemes
Provide technical advice on dilapidations, defect diagnosis, and compliance issues
Liaise with consultants, contractors, internal stakeholders, and tenants
Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Support long-term estate strategy and sustainability objectives About You
MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor (or working towards)
Solid experience in a commercial property environment
Strong understanding of building pathology, construction, and project delivery
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple projects
