Consultant Psychiatrist (LD)
Position: Consultant Psychiatrist (LD) at Saarthy Travel Solutions.
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (Leckhampton area) with travel to surrounding community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide senior medical advice, support, consultancy and clinical leadership within the North Locality of the team along with the Medical Lead for LD.
* Work alongside a multidisciplinary team comprising LD nurses, psychologist, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy and physiotherapy.
* Support patients primarily through outpatient clinics and community visits.
* Support and train resident doctors of varying levels, including attendance at postgraduate medical education sessions.
* Collaborate with the Intensive Support Team and Health outreach team for patients at risk of placement breakdown and requiring escalation to the Dynamic Support Register.
* Meet regularly with ICB colleagues and local authority colleagues to create and support bespoke care and support plans for patients under our care.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in learning disabilities or related mental health services.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing complex physical health conditions.
* Strong leadership and clinical governance skills.
