Overview
Step 3 Clinical CBT Supervisor with NHS Talking Therapies Suffolk. Wellbeing Suffolk service is a NHS Talking Therapies programme, providing primary care assessment, advice and psychological interventions to people in Suffolk, who want help with common mental health problems of anxiety and low mood. Interventions are delivered both face to face and remotely through telephone and video call.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical supervision (including case management) to Step 3 clinicians, ensuring supervisees work safely and professionally, adhering to NICE guidelines and professional/service guidance.
* Offer supervision to others with responsibility for their own small caseload, including assessment and treatment for people presenting with common mental health problems within the NHS Talking Therapies framework.
* Assist the clinical leadership team in supporting and developing the High Intensity part of the service and help the service achieve its key performance indicators.
* Work across service sites and/or from home, with the service having sites in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.
* Contribute to delivery of a bio-psychosocial model (psychological, employment and social interventions) via face-to-face, telephone, MS Teams video call and online webinars.
Qualifications
* Essential: Full BABCP accreditation as a CBT/Therapist (may have been gained following successful completion of High Intensity Therapist Training).
* Desirable: IAPT supervision qualification; substantial experience in managerial/clinical supervision of others’ casework, particularly in an IAPT context.
* Skills: Ability to make judgments involving highly complex facts or situations, and to identify and assess complicated events or problems.
Experience
* Essential: Theoretical knowledge of CBT/therapies and extensive experience in applying appropriate models of practice according to client needs.
