About This Exceptional Opportunity Due to sustained growth and an expanding client base, our client requires an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their dynamic team. You'll work alongside seasoned professionals in a supportive environment that values both technical excellence and client care. Your Key Responsibilities • Manage comprehensive estate administration for probate and intestacy matters from start to finish • Prepare and submit grants of representation with meticulous attention to detail • Complete inheritance tax returns and liaise with HMRC as required • Handle complex estate valuations and asset distributions Client Advisory Services • Draft bespoke wills and lasting powers of attorney (property & financial affairs, health & welfare) • Advise clients on estate planning strategies and tax-efficient structures • Manage Court of Protection deputyship applications and ongoing cases • Provide compassionate, client-facing services during sensitive family situations Professional Collaboration • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple practice areas • Liaise effectively with external parties including banks, insurers, and HMRC • Maintain exceptional professional standards in all client communications Essential Requirements • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with current practising certificate • Minimum 2-3 years PQE in private client work within UK practice • SRA regulation and full right to work in the UK • Proven experience in estate administration and complex probate matters • Strong working knowledge of inheritance tax legislation and procedures • Demonstrable expertise in will drafting and LPA preparation • Court of Protection deputyship experience essential • Proficiency in case management systems and legal software • Exceptional communication skills with confidence in client-facing situations • Discretion and sensitivity when handling delicate family matters • Collaborative approach to teamwork and professional relationships • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex cases Financial Rewards • Competitive salary £45,000-£60,000 dependent on experience and qualifications • Annual salary reviews with performance-based increases • Bonus scheme linked to individual and firm performance • Hybrid working arrangements - 3 days office, 2 days home • Flexible start times between 8:30-9:30am • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service • Additional day off for your birthday Professional Development • Clear progression pathway to Senior Associate and Partnership track • Comprehensive CPD programme with full funding support • Mentorship scheme with senior partners • Professional membership fees covered by the firm Additional Benefits • Enhanced pension scheme with employer contributions • Private healthcare including dental and optical coverage • Life assurance at 4x annual salary • Season ticket loan and cycle-to-work scheme About Our Client Our client is a long-established East London firm with over 30 years of delivering exceptional legal services.
