Job Opportunity: Junior Associate - Medical Negligence (NQ - 2 PQE)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified to 2 years' PQE solicitor to join a leading London-based Medical Negligence team renowned for its expertise in complex, high-value claims. This highly respected team is known for acting exclusively on behalf of claimants in life-changing cases, with a strong focus on matters involving brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and birth injuries, among others.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and specialist team working at the forefront of clinical negligence litigation. The work is challenging, varied, and rewarding-offering the chance to contribute to some of the most significant and sensitive cases in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting senior lawyers on complex, high-value clinical negligence claims
* Managing a small caseload under supervision, with increasing responsibility over time
* Drafting legal documents, letters of instruction, witness statements, and schedules of loss
* Liaising with medical experts, counsel, and other third parties
* Attending client meetings and case conferences
* Conducting legal research and staying current with relevant case law and procedural developments
Key Requirements:
* Qualified solicitor (NQ-2 PQE) in England & Wales
* Strong academic background and excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrable commitment to claimant medical negligence work
* A keen interest in high-value, catastrophic injury litigation
* Empathy, sensitivity, and a client-focused approach
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
