A well-established distributor of is seeking an Assembler to join their team. This company supplies a wide range of products to various industries. As an Assembler you’ll be involved in assembling connectors and electronic products, improving production processes, and maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
Assembler responsibilities:
* Assemble and test connectors and electro-mechanical products.
* Lead technical assembly activities and support production output.
* Create and maintain clear build instructions, work routings, and process documentation.
* Support new product builds and ensure consistent quality through standardised work practices.
* Train and support other team members on safe and correct assembly processes.
* Carry out preventative maintenance on production equipment and keep service records up to date.
* Assist with label creation, printing, and basic IT tasks.
* Support inspection activities for goods in and customer orders when required.
* Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised work environment.
Skills & experience required:
* Experience in electro-mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
* Knowledge of standards such as IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, NASA-STD-8739.3, and BS-EN-IEC-(phone number removed) is an advantage.
* Confident using MRP systems and common IT tools.
* Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Self-motivated and proactive in improving processes and quality.
