The
Senior Product Manager
will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and overall execution of the company's Product Platform. You will act as general manager for the product line, with responsibility for developing and executing the product roadmap, technology innovation (new product development, margin enhancement, break-though innovation), revenue and profitability.
Key areas of responsibility include:
* Development and implementation of a longer term (three years +) strategic playbook by articulating on roadmaps for products, services & solutions.
* Development and implementation of lifecycle strategy for the technology / product line / platform.
* Identification of program risks & opportunities, evaluation of the impact to the organisation and the scoping and implementation of corrective/mitigating strategies to overcome the challenges.
* Development and updating of technical and commercial value proposition, including reviewing on cost of ownership, service quality and customer value perception.
* Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance on product design, relevant technical, safety and environmental standards, codes of practice etc.
* As technology / product line / platform owner, work closely with project sponsor & cross-functional teams, to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, plan, budget, and timing for strategic initiatives aligned with over business goals (EG : Revenue, operating margin and free-cash flow).
Ideal candidate profile:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical discipline) or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years Product Management / Product Marketing / Technical Leadership experience in a medium to large enterprise (£100M+) ideally operating in the Electrical, Power, Oil & Gas, Mining or Automotive sectors.
* Executes and takes ownership (as individual contributor and / or project leader)
* Deep skills in strategic development and insight, building and leveraging of technology platforms & agile/lean [six sigma] process methodologies.
* Proven track record working cross functionally, in an engineered to order business, influencing and collaborating with associated functions.
