Location: 324-326 Lisburn Road, Belfast, BT9 6GH
Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent
Hours: 30 hours a week
Purpose
* To provide excellent customer service, maximizing sales and profit.
* Assist and support the Store Manager in all business aspects including sales, security, cash, and stock control.
* Operate the store in the Store Manager's absence following company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Support staff training and development.
* Motivate and encourage the team to meet sales targets.
* Ensure adherence to company instructions, policies, and procedures.
* Operate within company budgets.
* Implement promotional activities.
* Handle administration tasks such as investigating discrepancies, payroll, and marketing.
* Maintain excellent customer relations and knowledge of store products.
* Identify selling opportunities.
* Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
* Ensure premises are secure and compliant with health, safety, licensing, and trading standards legislation.
* Perform any other relevant duties.
Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
* OR 1 year supervisory experience in retail or customer service.
* NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Customer Service or Retail Operations or equivalent.
* WSET Level 1 Wine Certificate; Level 2 preferred.
* Committed to completing WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 6 months retail experience.
* Problem-solving and initiative skills.
* Leadership qualities and team management potential.
* Ability to perform under pressure and handle additional responsibilities.
* Experience with EPOS systems and cash handling.
* Stock handling and control experience.
* Effective communication skills.

* Active selling ability.

* Professional appearance.
* Valid driving license and access to a car.
* Experience in off-license retail and supervisory roles.
