Overview
We are working with a well-established, high-performing food manufacturing site in the Lichfield area to recruit a Technical Manager. This is a senior, influential role within a stable operation that places strong emphasis on food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
As Technical Manager, you will have full ownership of the site’s technical and quality agenda, including:
* Leading and developing the site Technical / QA team
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety, legality, and quality standards
* Managing and maintaining BRC / customer audit readiness and performance
* Acting as the key technical interface with customers, auditors, and regulatory bodies
* Driving continuous improvement across food safety culture, systems, and processes
* Overseeing HACCP, specifications, raw material approval, and change control
* Supporting the wider leadership team with technical insight and risk management
This is a hands-on leadership role with strategic influence.
Candidate Profile
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
* Proven experience in a Technical Manager or Senior Technical role within food manufacturing
* Strong working knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, and retailer / customer standards
* Confident leadership style with the ability to engage cross-functionally
* A calm, structured approach to technical challenges
* Experience within fresh, chilled, or short-shelf-life environments
