Major Projects Electrical Engineer (Temp-to-Perm)
Our client, a Tier One contractor, is currently recruiting for a Major Projects Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role offers an immediate start, with a hybrid working arrangement and offices based in Speke.
This position will support the delivery of large, complex construction projects, ensuring electrical designs are sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective from concept through to construction.

* Rate: £30 - £35 per hour (CIS)
* Contract: Temp-to-perm

* Hours: 37.5 per week
The Role
As a Major Projects Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in bridging client requirements with practical engineering solutions, while leading electrical design coordination and driving innovation across high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level technical expertise in electrical building services engineering
* Support and contribute to project design meetings, establishing and agreeing design concepts
* Deliver fully coordinated electrical design solutions through all project stages
* Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure quality and consistency
* Contribute to the development of engineering standards and best practices across the wider business
* Drive innovation within M&E services, including implementation of initiatives such as BIM
* Maintain regular communication with senior stakeholders regarding progress, risks, costs, and project output
* Ensure adherence to quality procedures and document control standards
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Building Services Engineering
* Membership with Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers or Institution of Engineering and Technology
* Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
* Strong experience within electrical building services design, particularly on large-scale projects
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wider business audience
* Experience working with quality procedures and document control in engineering design
* Ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance
