About the Role:
TeacherActive is working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Benfleet to recruit a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to access learning in a way that suits their individual needs and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND
Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
Contribute to EHCP planning, reviews, and target setting
Track and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with SEND pupils (preferred but not essential)
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
Commitment to supporting the individual needs of every learner
