Hotel Receptionist
We are looking for a warm, professional, and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to be the face of our hotel. As the first point of contact for guests, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality from check-in to check-out, handling guest inquiries, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a memorable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude upon arrival
* Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately
* Handle room reservations, cancellations, and modifications via phone, email, and in-person
* Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
* Maintain accurate guest records and process payments using the hotel's booking system
* Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready and any guest issues are resolved quickly
* Provide local information, directions, and recommendations for dining, entertainment, and transportation
* Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front desk area at all times
* Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Hours will be 30-40 a week and include weekdays and weekends, daytime and night shifts, on a 6 week rota. Holiday and absence cover may also be required.
The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service and be able to work as part of a team or using their own initiative. Two years reception experience is preferred, but full training will be given to the successful candidate.
