We are looking for a Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Department here at our campus in Silverstone. Reporting into the Maintenance Team, you will ensure all electrical systems, manufacturing equipment, and site utilities are maintained in a safe, compliant, and reliable condition. You will play a key role in maximising asset availability and efficiency while supporting continuous improvement across the site.
You will be hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a multi-skilled team in a demanding operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond rapidly to electrical breakdowns, restoring equipment safely and efficiently
* Carry out detailed fault‑finding and root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
* Maintain and repair electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, control panels, motors, and associated equipment
* Support installation, modification, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades
* Deliver TPM and PPM schedules in line with site requirements
* Complete statutory inspections and planned servicing in accordance with legislation and best practice
* Ensure all work complies with BS 7671, site standards, and current legislation
* Work strictly within Safe Systems of Work, including RAMS, permits to work, and LOTO
* Accurately update CMMS / CAFM records and asset care registers
* Support shutdowns, outages, and continuous improvement projects
* Identify safety risks, defects, and improvement opportunities and elevate appropriately
* Manage and develop critical electrical spares strategies to minimise downtime
* Liaise with and supervise external contractors, ensuring safe and high‑quality delivery
* Work flexibly within the maintenance team, supporting mechanical and facilities colleagues where required
* Communicate clearly, positively, and professionally with all stakeholders
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven experience as an onsite Maintenance Electrician or electrically biased Maintenance Engineer
* Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills in complex operational environments
* Excellent understanding of electrical safety, compliance, and H&S controls
* Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, drawings, and technical documentation
* Experience using CMMS / CAFM systems
* Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
* Previous experience in Formula One, motorsport, advanced manufacturing, or high‑performance automotive environments (highly desirable)
