Rent Smart Wales is a service hosted by Cardiff Council to ensure compliance with Part 1 of the Housing Wales in partnership with 22 Welsh local authorities. The Welsh Ministers designated Cardiff Council as the Licensing Authority for the whole of Wales in 2015.
Applicants for the role will need to understand, support and advise landlords, agents, tenants and professional bodies who will be making enquiries about Rent Smart Wales through multiple channels of access. You will be responsible for resolving a high number enquiries via calls & emails where a consistently high level of performance may result in additional duties being completed such as reviewing licence applications & data cleansing exercises in accordance with the Service’s procedures. Successful applicants will need to listen patiently, to empathise with the customer’s situation and convey a genuine desire to help and support. To ensure that the customer understands their legal obligations and the actions which they should take to meet these legal requirements.
