Are you a proactive and enthusiastic teaching assistant looking to make a real difference? We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join one of our partner schools in the Yate area. This unique role involves supporting students both in the specialist autism base and as a learning support assistant in mainstream lessons.
We have exclusively partnered the school with their TA recruitment for a long period of time and can confidently say that the support and progression opportunities they provide their staff is first class. The school will also be looking to take the successful candidate on to their direct contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support to students within the specialist autism base, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs.
Assist students in mainstream lessons to help them access the curriculum effectively.
Engage actively with students, building positive relationships to encourage learning and confidence.
Be proactive in identifying student needs and contributing ideas for intervention and support.
Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development across different settings.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with young people, ideally including those with autism or additional learning needs.
Be proactive, approachable, and able to engage effectively with students and staff alike.
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
Show patience, empathy, and flexibility in supporting a diverse range of learners.
Be committed to fostering an inclusive, positive, and nurturing school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
