Job Description:
The purpose of the Practice Lead role is to ensure that the National Leaving Care Benchmarking Forum remains up to date with the latest legislative, policy, and guidance developments in leaving care, and stays at the forefront of best practice. The post holder will utilize this knowledge to share information, develop products and tools for members, and deliver training, consultancy work, and events to members, aiming to improve outcomes for young people leaving care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Remain at the forefront of best practice and key trends in the leaving care sector.
* Collaborate with the Practice Lead and NLCBF Manager to develop policy and practice focus areas supporting NLCBF members.
* Support the organization of engaging events for local authorities to share best practices and network.
* Work with the Co-production and Engagement Lead to incorporate the voices of care-experienced young people.
* Research and develop a network of experts in leaving care, maintaining relationships to contribute to the Forum's outcomes.
* Engage with local authority members and non-members to understand their successes and challenges.
* Assist in managing the daily operations of the NLCBF, ensuring value for money and resource optimization.
* Provide expertise on practice issues and solutions related to supporting young people leaving care.
