Office Manager Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) performance-related bonus Contract: 6-month fixed term (with strong potential to become permanent) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm (37 hours per week) Why Join Us? As our operations expand, were looking for a highly organised and experienced Office Manager to take the reins of our busy day-to-day operations. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the business, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a close knit team driving continued success. The Role As Office Manager, youll take ownership of business operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly across multiple projects while supporting the Managing Director. Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing the day-to-day running of operations, coordinating projects and maximising team efficiency Managing administration across multiple jobs, ensuring accurate records and timely updates Handling invoicing, payments, VAT, and CIS processes Maintaining project and employee records, including onboarding new team members Managing fleet compliance (insurance, MOT, tax, servicing) Scheduling regular updates with the Managing Director and proactively identifying potential issues Improving and maintaining office systems and procedures Managing all incoming enquiries (phone, email, website) and coordinating the office diary for quotes and job scheduling Building strong working relationships across the team and promoting high standards of professionalism About You Youre an organised, proactive professional who enjoys taking ownership and making a difference. You bring: Proven experience in an Office Manager or similar role (ideally within a related industry) Strong financial administration skills, including VAT, CIS, and invoicing Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks Excellent communication skills, confident, clear, and adaptable Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail The ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines under pressure A positive, calm leadership style with the ability to motivate others Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset Reliability, integrity, and a genuine team-focused attitude Solid IT skills and confidence using business systems The Opportunity This is more than just an Office Manager role, its a chance to become a key part of a growing business, bring your ideas to life, and help shape how we operate as we scale.
