Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Home Manager/Sub‑Manager with administrative duties and nursing‑care tasks.
* Maintain overall responsibility of nursing/care management and governance in the absence of the Home Manager, acting as Nurse in Charge.
* Lead medication administration, care plan quality and physical, emotional and spiritual support for residents.
* Ensure resident safety and implement safeguarding policies.
* Plan shifts, manage team and coach, train and mentor staff.
* Lead infection prevention and control and liaison with GPs and MDT.
* Assist the Home Manager with care‑home inspections and visits where required.
* Uphold clinical governance standards, lead clinical governance meetings.
About You
* Uphold compassion, dedication, and commitment to enhancing quality of life for residents.
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills, supervising teams in care‑home settings.
* Have an NMC‑recognised nursing qualification, valid NMC pin and registration (RGN/RNLD/RMN).
* Possess previous experience leading clinical/care teams and managing performance.
* Understand safeguarding, DoLs, Mental Capacity Act and clinical policy frameworks.
* Can perform physical tasks, assist resident mobility and work flexible shifts including bank holidays.
