Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + benefits supporting your finances, wellbeing, and family.

The role
As part of SSEN Transmissions Offshore Portfolio, we offer an opportunity for a Structural/Civil OHL Engineer to join our Offshore AC Project Engineering team. You will help advance our Island projects, facilitating the connection to HVDC systems with state-of-the-art AC plant, grid control, and stabilization technology.
You will
1. Prepare and review designs throughout development and execution phases, including route selection, substation tie-ins, and diagrams.
2. Promote best practices in OHL design and installation by suggesting improvements in specifications, technology options, and risk management.
3. Manage safety within your projects by implementing CDM procedures, ensuring compliance with company, HSE, and industry regulations.
4. Deliver engineering on projects with capital values of £50m to £100m, working closely with project managers to ensure successful delivery and risk management.
You have
* Experience working on the transmission network, especially in overhead line development, design, and specifications, with the ability to assess technical issues and solutions.
* Good understanding of relevant legislation such as CDM & ESQCR and its implications for asset and project management.
* Effective communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical issues to senior management.
* Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels and building strong relationships.
* Ideally, a degree in Mechanical, Civil, or relevant engineering, and Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
